History

The story of Dvizh is about decades of experience in currency exchange through its own network of physical offices in most of Ukraine's oblast centers. The team has deep expertise and a solid reputation in the offline currency exchange market, and that became the foundation for effective scaling into the online space. Its own offices are a strong competitive advantage for Dvizh, because the exchanger works without intermediaries and can offer users the best exchange rates.

We have a fairly long history of running a network of physical exchange offices. At first these were exclusively cash-to-cash exchanges. Then people started showing interest in non-cash exchanges, but they had to make such requests through Telegram – which was inconvenient. We realized it's easier and safer for the client when they visit the site, see the available exchange directions and the current rate, place an order in a few clicks, and chat with a manager right on the site. So we decided to carry all of our experience over into a full-fledged online service, where you really can work with much larger volumes and earn accordingly more.

Code access and customization

Dvizh received full access to the platform's frontend code. The software is fully open for customization – so the exchanger's team independently developed and coded their own custom design.

Access to ready-made modules for fast payment-system integration

BoxExchanger provides ready-made merchant modules for connecting cryptocurrency and fiat. The architecture is designed so that the exchanger's team can configure integrations on their own without complex development.

Prompt consulting

β€œThe guys from the BoxExchanger team jump in to solve an issue very quickly. Literally a couple of minutes – and we're already reviewing the request: there's real responsiveness, and everything gets resolved.”

Why BoxExchanger?

β€œWe compared it with Premium Exchanger. They have an interesting script, but the interface is overloaded β€” far too much that isn't needed. BoxExchanger is minimalist: everything essential is highlighted and easy to grasp. In a couple of weeks you fully master the interface.”

Main challenges at the start

At first there were ideas to build the exchanger on their own. But the team still arrived at a decision: it's better to spend money on a proven platform than to risk a year of time on development and then return to a ready-made solution anyway. The infrastructure of an exchanger is genuinely complex, and the backend is roughly a year of work. Instead of being chained to development, you can direct resources toward marketing, customer acquisition, and business growth. It's better to take a ready-made solution than to lose a year and money on development that will still have flaws, require constant refinement, and won't be market-ready.

Even recently some acquaintances came to us who want to build a similar exchanger, and they started building it themselves. They've literally been at it for a year already. They got in touch and said: do you have anyone with experience building these exchangers, because they've been working for a year, spent a ton of money – and it's not working out. They don't know how to move forward at all.

Results

First clients

The first orders started coming in within 2–3 months after launch. First and foremost these were clients from the exchanger's physical offices, acquaintances and colleagues who work with crypto, plus a small amount of traffic from monitoring services.

Payback

The project paid off in roughly 2 years. This includes the cost of renting BoxExchanger's software, advertising, partnerships, participation in conferences, and the gradual growth of traffic and orders.

Key performance indicators

Dvizh's key priority is a high level of service. The team focuses on fast order processing, prompt communication, and effective resolution of client requests. It is the level of service that builds a base of regular clients who are ready to recommend Dvizh going forward. In parallel, the company works on steady growth of its client base and actively invests in marketing to attract new users and increase brand recognition in the market.

Advice for those just planning to start

β€œInvest in marketing one hundred percent. I've repeatedly heard from exchanger owners: "We skimped on advertising – and just shut down." In reality it's simple: if no one knows about you, no one will come to you. Launching an exchanger isn't enough. You need to constantly show the market that you exist, that you have favorable rates, a secure service, and quality support. Work on brand recognition and collect reviews. In the crypto industry, trust is one of the main currencies.

It's just as important to choose the right focus. I often see exchangers that try to cover everything at once: hundreds of directions or dozens of services. It's far more effective to concentrate on one thing where you can truly be the strongest, build a competitive advantage, and earn.”
